Banyak website atau blog yang meramaikan berita tentang merapi. Ada yang memposting tentang foto-foto kejadian meletusnya gunung merapi. Dari beberapa situs ada salah satu situs yang dilengkapi streaming radio dua arah yang memantau keadaan merapi secara realtime.
